Selection of LED screen and comparison with related display technology
    With the development of digitalization and information technology, the big screen has been more and more applications in various occasions, and various display technology has emerged. From the early CRT, to the current LCD display, PDP, FED, DLP, flat panel display technology shows a diversified development trend. Below will be on the SELECTION of LED screen, and its comparison with back projection, LCD, PDP discussion. Is an LED screen suitable for its own use?
Here are two simple questions that can help you decide whether the LED screen is suitable for your specific application:
1. What is the brightness of the installation environment you choose?
If the environment is very bright, then choose LED or back cast first.
2. What size does your display need?
If you want a large, seamless display over 60 inches, you can choose a forward, back, or LED display.
Two LED video displays provide maximum return on investment in the outdoor signage and advertising market
Modern advertising network systems are entering a whole new unknown territory, which is due to the application of a large number of LED displays. The speed of modern information network makes video spread quickly and widely, and more and more applications show that streaming video with acceptable display quality is now technically mature.
The development of the Internet has allowed video streaming networks to span even the other side of the ocean. With the touch of a button, the latest news or content can be displayed on displays around the world, with its impact and dissemination to a range that was not possible in the past.
For a typical indoor location, the use of flat panel displays and projectors is acceptable. In some places, however, these technologies do not provide the desired display quality, but bright indoor and any outdoor environment is the deadly star of these technologies.
Here's why THE LED provides the best solution, and in most cases, how it solves the above problems. At the same time, LED is not a panacea, select and design LED screen to follow some good rules and techniques.
Third, we will look at the different display technologies to understand the environment in which they apply and why.
1. Projection
Projection is one of the earliest display technology, with the emergence of advanced deflection technology, the current projection technology to DLP and LCD display instead of the Saiyi film, display content on the projection screen. Today, the use of back throws is more common than before.
The standout feature of the forward cast is the ability to support large-screen displays that can accommodate a large audience.
a. In darker environments, good performance.
High resolution;
Low contrast - display content with a white reflective surface;
b. The lamp has a short life and therefore has a higher maintenance cost.
The backprojection module's screen size is limited to 50 inches-80 inches, with multiple projectors and screens to form a back-to-back wall, which was a very stylish device 10 years ago and is still used in the control room display.
Advantages and disadvantages of back projection:
In the ordinary indoor light environment, the display effect is good;
High resolution;
Because of the color matching problem of each back throw block, the back cast size is limited;
The margin of about a few millimeters between each back throw block is more obvious, hindering its application as a large screen in some occasions.
From the above analysis can be seen, in the bright environment, the effect of the projection screen is not satisfactory, the use of LED screen is better.
2. Plasma display:
Plasma displays have been around for nearly a decade, revolutionizing the way we view information in a business environment. Its slim form factor and large display give us the feeling that a bulky CRT display will never be able to do it.
Plasma's technological breakthroughs have enabled shopping malls, airports and railway stations to present their messages and ideas in a broader and more effective way. It is also one of the main tools for all information disclosure networks.
Plasma screens on the market today are typically 60 inches (or 80-inch oversized plasma screens if you have enough money), with a high resolution. The advantages and disadvantages are:
a. High resolution;
b. Low brightness, only 400 nits;
c. Short service life, in some cases less than two years, and no effective solution;
d. You need to put up with the phenomenon of picture burning.
So compared with the comparison, LED screen with its high brightness, long service life is better.
3.LCD display
LCD display technology emerged in the late 1960s and underwent several changes during the digital vision revolution of the late 1970s and early 1980s. In recent years, LCD displays have been catching up with plasma in terms of size, but it has now been found to be encroaching on plasma's share of the large flat screen market.
The main advantage of LCD display is that it is far superior to the long-term stability of plasma. Merchants who have made large investments in LCD displays are making them look better than they did on the promotional material, but it's clear that the facts are somewhat less satisfying. The main problem with LCD displays is how quickly the LIQUID responds when it plays video and how fast it is distorted and recovered. Of course, its response speed has improved considerably in recent years, but it's still not good enough.

The advantages and disadvantages are as follows:
a. High resolution;
b. Large size (more expensive than plasma);
c. Long service life, high stability;
d. Lower brightness, 400 nits.
By contrast, the LED screen plays a video with a faster response and a higher brightness.
Advantages of four LED display technology
LED screen as early as the 1960s has appeared, but it was not until the mid-90s, the emergence of full-color screen, the technology in recent years has a great decline in prices, resolution has also been greatly improved. LED screens are mainly used in places where more viewers can watch, providing seamless screens of almost any size, from 1 square meter to the size you can imagine.
The smallest LED screen for ultra-high resolution 3 mm pixel array products is still very expensive, so 6 mm dot array pixels are the highest resolution products that are often widely used.
Plasma's pixel matrix can be less than 0.5 mm, so LED screens cannot be compared to plasma and LCD displays in resolution, but they are not used in the same way, for example, not to realistically detailed text information.
For video, the low resolution performance of the LED screen is good. In fact, you usually see the resolution of the LED screen is about the same as when you look at the computer monitor.
But the LED display does have an excellent performance, the brightness. LED screens are typically 10 times brighter than other display technologies, which is why they can be installed anywhere other screens can't be installed, including bright indoor environments and, of course, outdoor. It is characterized by:
1 large screen display - effective budget control from 1-500 square meters;
2 High brightness - can be viewed directly in the sun, is the only reasonable price to achieve the ideal picture display technology;
3 Modular design - easy to maintain;
4 The longest life of any display technology - no major changes in performance in 5 years.
